The article by Lock et al. in this month's issue of the Journal highlights 3 features that are of interest to child and adolescent psychiatrists. First, it provides further evidence for an effective therapy for an extremely debilitating condition, with additional means for improving prognosis. Second, it underscores how families can be helpful in supporting therapy for their children, thus avoiding unnecessary scapegoating of parents. Finally, it is a fine example of a clinical trial performed in accordance with all the principles of modern methodology.

Background: Raynaud syndrome (RS) is a peripheral vasculopathy characterised be impaired acral perfusion typically manifesting as skin discolouration with pallor, cyanosis and/or erythema, and increased sensitivity to cold. RS may be primary or secondary to systemic disease, lifestyle and environmental factors or medication. RS has been reported with medication to treat ADHD, but we found no recent comprehensive overview of the literature.

mRNA-based protein replacement therapy has become one of the most widely applied forms of mRNA therapy, with lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) being extensively studied as efficient delivery platforms for mRNA. However, existing LNPs tend to accumulate in the liver or kidneys after intravenous injection, highlighting the need to develop vectors capable of targeting specific organs. In this study, we synthesized a small library of ionizable lipids and identified PPz-2R as a promising candidate, exhibiting lung-targeting capabilities, high mRNA transfection efficiency, and good stability through structure-activity relationship studies.

Background The increasing workload of radiologists can lead to burnout and errors in radiology reports. Large language models, such as OpenAI's GPT-4, hold promise as error revision tools for radiology. Purpose To test the feasibility of GPT-4 use by determining its error detection, reasoning, and revision performance on head CT reports with varying error types and to validate its clinical utility by comparison with human readers.

Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) is the rate-limiting enzyme in the pentose phosphate pathway (PPP) in glycolysis. Glucose metabolism is closely implicated in the regulation of mitophagy, a selective form of autophagy for the degradation of damaged mitochondria. The PPP and its key enzymes such as G6PD possess important metabolic functions, including biosynthesis and maintenance of intracellular redox balance, while their implication in mitophagy is largely unknown.

Introduction: Invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) increases the risk of mortality of critically ill patients. Diagnostic criteria specifically targeting patients in intensive care units(ICUs) have been developed to improve diagnostic sensitivity. This study investigated health outcomes among patients in ICUs with Aspergillus isolates identified using bronchoscopy.
