In the past 25 years, mentalization-based treatment (MBT) has become an increasingly well-known addition to the group therapy literature. In this article, mentalizing will be explained and a number of key concepts and interventions of MBT described. MBT's usefulness for enhancing group therapy and developing client resilience and internal capacity will be explored, and examples of applications to psychodynamic group therapy will be offered.

Herein, fluorescent calcium carbonate nanoclusters encapsulated with methotrexate (Mtx) and surface functionalized with chitosan (25 nm) (@Calmat) have been developed for the imaging and treatment of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC). These biocompatible, pH-sensitive nanoparticles demonstrate significant potential for targeted therapy and diagnostic applications. The efficacy of nanoparticles (NPs) was evaluated in MDA-MB-231 TNBC cell lines.

Importance: Triple-negative breast cancer is an aggressive subtype with a high incidence in young patients, a high incidence in non-Hispanic Black women, and a high risk of progression to metastatic cancer, a devastating sequela with a 12- to 18-month life expectancy. Until recently, one strategy for treating early-stage triple-negative breast cancer was chemotherapy after surgery. However, it was not known whether the addition of immune therapy to postsurgery chemotherapy would be beneficial.

Background: Alpine skiing requires flexibility, endurance, strength and rotational ability, which may be lost after long fusions to the pelvis for adult spinal deformity (ASD). ASD patients may worry about their ability to return to skiing (RTS) postoperatively. There is currently insufficient data for spine surgeons to adequately address questions about when, or if, their patients might RTS.

Cellular plasticity, the remarkable adaptability of cancer cells to survive under various stress conditions, is a fundamental hallmark that significantly contributes to treatment resistance, tumor metastasis, and disease recurrence. Oncogenes, the driver genes that promote uncontrolled cell proliferation, have long been recognized as key drivers of cellular transformation and tumorigenesis. Paradoxically, accumulating evidence demonstrates that targeting certain oncogenes to inhibit tumor cell proliferation can unexpectedly induce processes like epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT), conferring enhanced invasive and metastatic capabilities.

To investigate the efficacy and safety of picosecond (PS) and nanosecond (NS) 1064-nm neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd: YAG) laser in treating Café-au-lait macules (CALMs). We retrospectively analyzed the medical records of patients with CALMs, who were treated with PS or NS 1064-nm lasers from January 2020 to January 2022. The efficacy was determined based on the before and after pictures by two independent investigators.
