Background: Anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion (ACCF) involves placement of a graft/implant to ensure fusion and stabilization along with neural decompression. We share our experience with a subset of ACCF patients in whom graft/implant could not be placed post decompression for varying reasons but had a favorable long-term outcome. The necessity for routine fusion after corpectomy is critically analyzed, and the feasibility of an alternative surgical option without graft/implant is discussed.

Depth cameras can provide an effective, noncontact, and privacy-preserving means to monitor patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Clinical interventions and routine care events can disrupt video-based patient monitoring. Automatically detecting these periods can decrease the time required for hand-annotating recordings, which is needed for system development.

Purpose: Ureteral stents are commonly placed intraoperatively during radical cystectomy, though their efficacy in reducing complications is unproven. We compared clinical outcomes among patients undergoing robot-assisted radical cystectomy with intracorporeal ileal conduit (RARC-IC) with or without ureteral stents to determine if omission of ureteral stents affects postoperative complications.

Materials And Methods: All RARC-IC surgeries performed at our institution between November 2017 and June 2023 were reviewed.
