PC-A (), a bromo nor-eremophilane, showed selective antiproliferative activity against a triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cell line. This unique activity prompted us to establish a total synthesis to facilitate a structure-activity relationship (SAR) study and selectivity optimization. An enantioselective first total synthesis of was achieved starting from ()-carvone through a side chain extension with a Mukaiyama aldol reaction and decalin construction. The synthesized decalin derivatives and debromo PC-A () were evaluated for antiproliferative activity against five human tumor cell lines, including TNBC, to assess preliminary SAR correlations.

Background: Preserving plant genetic resources is essential for tackling global food security challenges. Effectively meeting future agricultural demands requires comprehensive and efficient assessments of genetic diversity in breeding programs and germplasm from gene banks. This research investigated the diversity of pheno-morphological traits, along with the fatty acid and tocopherol content and composition, in 135 double haploid lines of camelina.

Background: Zinc finger homeodomain (ZF-HD) belongs to the plant-specific transcription factor (TF) family and is widely involved in plant growth, development and stress responses. Despite their importance, a comprehensive identification and analysis of ZF-HD genes in the soybean (Glycine max) genome and their possible roles under abiotic stress remain unexplored.

Results: In this study, 51 ZF-HD genes were identified in the soybean genome that were unevenly distributed on 17 chromosomes.

Revealing the differences of metabolite profiles of H. pluvialis during hyperaccumulation of astaxanthin under the high salinity and nitrogen deficiency conditions was the key issues of the present study. To investigate the optimum NaCl and NaNO concentration and the corresponding metabolic characteristic related to the astaxanthin accumulation in H.
