Single and multi-atoms supported on oxide substrates ultimately increase the efficiency of noble metal atom use, and moreover, catalytic activity and selectivity are also improved substantially. However, single and multi-atoms are unstable under catalytic conditions, and these metal atoms spontaneously aggregate and grow into nanoparticles. Catalytic performance is strongly related to local atomic configurations, and hence, it is essential to determine the three-dimensional (3D) atomic structures of multi-atoms on the substrate and their structural dynamics. Here, we show the real-time tracking of the 3D structural evolution of a Pt trimer on TiO (110) substrate at a high temperature, using high-spatiotemporal-resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy, where sub-angstrom spatial resolution is maintained, while the temporal resolution reaches 40 milliseconds. With the aid of prior structural knowledge of a Pt trimer for 3D reconstruction, the present method could open the way to characterize in situ atomic-scale structural dynamics, especially meta-stable structural transition.

The pathogenesis of acute kidney injury (AKI) is a multifaceted process involving various mechanisms, with oxidative stress playing a crucial role in its development. Hypochlorite (HOCl) and cysteine (Cys) are indicators of oxidative stress in AKI pathophysiology, directly reflecting the degree of oxidative stress and disease severity. However, their exact mechanism of action in AKI pathophysiology remains unknown.

The bioaugmentation performance is severely reduced in the treatment of high-saline pesticide wastewater because the growth and degradation activity of pesticide degraders are significantly inhibited by high salt concentrations. In this study, a heterologous biodegradation pathway comprising the seven genes mpd/pnpABCDEF responsible for the bioconversion of p-nitrophenol (PNP)-substituted organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) into β-oxoadipate and the genes encoding Vitreoscilla hemoglobin (VHb) and green fluorescent protein (GFP) were integrated into the genome of a salt-tolerant chassis Halomonas cupida J9, to generate a genetically engineered halotolerant degrader J9U-MP. RT-PCR assays demonstrated that the nine exogenous genes are successfully transcribed to mRNA in J9U-MP.

Target tracking techniques in the UAV perspective utilize UAV cameras to capture video streams and identify and track specific targets in real-time. Deep learning UAV target tracking methods based on the Siamese family have achieved significant results but still face challenges regarding accuracy and speed compatibility. In this study, in order to refine the feature representation and reduce the computational effort to improve the efficiency of the tracker, we perform feature fusion in deep inter-correlation operations and introduce a global attention mechanism to enhance the model's field of view range and feature refinement capability to improve the tracking performance for small targets.

Wearable sweat sensors offering real-time monitoring of biomarker levels suffer from stability and accuracy issues, primarily due to low biomarker concentrations, fluctuating sweat pH, and material detachment from sensor deformation. Here, we developed a wearable sensing system integrated with two advanced electrodes and a flexible microchannel for long-term reliable monitoring of sweat pH and uric acid (UA). By printing the ink doped with nanomaterials (CoO@CuCoO and polyaniline), we achieved highly stable electrodes for the direct analysis of perspiration, without additional surface modification.
