Objective: The objective of the study y was to evaluate factors which can improve shock wave lithotripsy (SWL) results to keep up with COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods: Between June 2020 and June 2021, patients with radio-opaque or faint radio-opaque upper urinary tract stones, stone attenuation value ≤1200 HU, and stones size <2.5 cm were treated by electrohydraulic SWL. Patients with respiratory tract symptoms elevated temperature, contact with COVID-19 patients, or positive COVID-19 swab 2 weeks preoperatively, skin-to-stone distance >11 cm, and body mass index >30 kg/m were excluded from the study. Patients were prospectively enrolled in SWL done at a rate of 40-50 SWs/min under combined ultrasound and fluoroscopy-guided, ramped into high power in the 1 300 shocks. Success rate and complications were recorded.
Results: Five hundred and ninety patients completed the study. The success rate after 1 session was 408/590 patients (69.15%) which was augmented by 2 session to reach 527/590 patients 89.3%. The success rate was 96.2% at 3 months postoperatively. Most complications were mild (Grade 1 or 2).
Conclusions: SWL results improved using slow rate high power from the start of the session under combined fluoroscopy and ultrasound guidance. SWL may be a preferred option during a pandemic.

The widespread adoption of high-resolution computed tomography (CT) screening has led to increased detection of small pulmonary nodules, necessitating accurate localization techniques for surgical resection. This review examines the evolution, efficacy, and safety of various localization methods for small pulmonary nodules. Studies focusing on localization techniques for pulmonary nodules ≤30 mm in diameter were included, with emphasis on technical success rates and complication profiles.

Purpose: To compare the erectile and urinary functions of ventral and dorsal onlay buccal mucosal graft (BMG) urethroplasty in the management of proximal bulbar urethral strictures (PBUS) in sexually active men.
Patients And Methods: We retrospectively included patients with primary non-traumatic PBUS who were treated with (BMG) urethroplasty at our department between March 2019 and March 2023 either ventral or dorsal approaches. Patients were assessed at 3- and 12-months postoperatively for urinary and erectile functions.

Introduction: Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) have become increasingly prevalent and have the potential to delay gastric emptying. The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) released guidance regarding the perioperative management of patients receiving GLP-1 RAs, but it is unclear the extent to which hospitals in the U.S.

Aim: Autotransplantation of teeth (ATT) is a viable biological method for addressing dental defects. The objective was to achieve occlusal reconstruction-orientated ATT to enhance functionality and obtain optimal location and adjacency. This study proposes a new concept of a guide (a fully guided system) to achieve position-predictable ATT.

The root ducts play an important role in the plant's transport of nutrients from the soil. Based on the selective transport characteristics of plant roots, amino pillar[6]arene bionic porous root sub-nano channel membrane were constructed to remove Imazamox. Imazamox (IM) is an effective imidazolinone herbicide frequently utilized in soybean fields to control a wide range of annual grasses and broad-leaved weeds.
