The potential contribution of the paper is the use of the propensity score matching method for updating censored observations within the context of multi-state model featuring two competing risks. The competing risks are modelled using cause-specific Cox proportional hazard model. The simulation findings demonstrate that updating censored observations tends to lead to reduced bias and mean squared error for all estimated parameters in the risk of cause-specific Cox model. The results for a chemoradiotherapy real dataset are consistent with the simulation results.

Importance: Indocyanine green (ICG)-guided lymphadenectomy has been increasingly used to treat gastric cancer. However, its oncologic impact remains unclear.
Objective: To investigate the effect of ICG tracing on long-term outcomes in patients diagnosed with locally advanced gastric cancer undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) followed by laparoscopic radical gastrectomy.

Background: The 2018 revision of the adult Heart Allocation Policy (aHAP) led to a notable increase in the rate of simultaneous heart-kidney transplants (SHKT) in the United States. However, this policy has faced criticism for its inability to enhance post-transplant survival rates or decrease mortality among SHKT recipients on the waitlist, although high-quality kidneys are used.
Methods: We analyzed data from the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network, covering 1549 SHKT cases from 2015 to 2021.

The Bundled Payment for Care Improvement Advanced (BPCI-A) model encourages value-based care by bundling 90-day healthcare-related costs into a single payment for eligible service codes and procedures for traditional Medicare Part A and B beneficiaries. Our institution, an Age-Friendly Health Systems Level 2 certified academic health center, participated in the BPCI-A model from 2018 to 2022. This study aimed to determine differences in days spent at home in the 30- and 90-day post-hospitalization period for older patients in the BPCI-A program based on Age-Friendly care status.

The breakout session "Imaging in Disease Assessment" featured six abstracts on imaging advancements for vasculitis. Disease extent on cranial MRI and its association with visual complications in giant cell arteritis (GCA) was evaluated, introducing the Propensity for Enhancement for GCA (P EG) score to assess inflammation. Predictors of remission and relapse in chronic periaortitis were analyzed, suggesting the potential for tailored treatment approaches.

Background: Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a prevalent and debilitating mental health condition, necessitating early detection and effective treatment strategies. Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) is a promising neuroimaging technique for monitoring cerebral hemodynamics and may serve as an objective biomarker for MDD diagnosis and treatment efficacy. This study aimed to investigate the utility of NIRS in the early detection and longitudinal monitoring of antidepressant treatment efficacy in MDD patients.
