Objectives: This study compares ultrasound-guided pulsed radiofrequency (UG-PRF) with ultrasound-guided dry needling (UG-DN) for treating painful shoulder periarthritis (PSP).
Materials And Methods: Twenty-four patients with PSP were chosen from the Pain Department of the Sixth People's Hospital of Nantong between August 2022 and December 2023. They were divided into 2 groups, UG-PRF (n = 12) and UG-DN (n = 12), using a random number table.
Purpose: This study aimed to report a case of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) complicated by Aeromonas veronii infection-induced bacteremia and to review relevant literature on the etiology, prevention, treatment, and prognosis of bacteremia in immunocompromised populations, aiming to reduce mortality in individuals with hematologic and other end-stage diseases and improve patient outcomes.
Methods And Results: We reported the case of a 23-year-old male patient with relapsed AML characterized by AML1:ETO and ASXL positivity, classified as a high-risk group. The patient presented with fever, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting after consuming partially cooked fish.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare regimens of eccentric exercise and dry-needling, with and without an ultrasound-guided leukocyte-poor platelet-rich plasma (LP-PRP) injection, in patients with patellar tendinopathy.
Methods: Patients with symptomatic patellar tendinopathy based on physical examination and magnetic resonance imaging and who had failed at least 6 weeks of nonoperative treatment were enrolled and randomized at two centers to receive ultrasound-guided dry-needling (DN) alone or in addition to an injection of LP-PRP coupled with standardized eccentric strengthening exercises. Participants completed patient-reported outcome surveys at baseline and at 3, 6, 9, 12, and 26 weeks post-treatment.

This study aimed to summarize the current status of research on ultrasound-guided acupuncture and dry-needling treatment and the specific treatment methods applied to patients. A scoping review was conducted, surveying three English databases (PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library) for studies published up to May 2024. All studies related to ultrasound-guided acupuncture and dry-needling treatment were considered.

It is effective in reducing spasticity in stroke and other neurological conditions. The current study explores the immediate effect of ultrasound-guided dry needling on soleus muscle spasticity and thickness in individuals with stroke.
