Methods: A survey was administered to 125 older adults aged 60 and above (65 from Australia and 60 from Thailand). The survey collected demographic information, self-rated health and SWB.

Background: Disproportionate access to healthcare services among the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning and others (LGBTQ+) population can be partially attributed to the lack of cultural competence among healthcare providers. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of an interprofessional model in improving cultural competence and clinical preparedness among dental and pharmacy students for providing LGBTQ+ specific care.

Methodology: This study is a retrospective observational study which used a novel interprofessional model of three different LGBTQ+ focused educational interventions within a group of dental and pharmacy students.

Effective Communication of Stroke Signs in Spanish to Patients in Cognitive Impairment.

Background: Strokes affect 15 million people worldwide annually, including 5% of patients over the age of 75, making them a leading cause of death and disability, especially in elderly patients with cognitive impairment. Mnemonics have been developed in multiple languages to inform the public how to recognize stroke signs, including the English “BEFAST.” For Spanish‐speaking populations, the mnemonics “AHORA” and “RAPIDO” are both circulated with pictorial brochures.
