The phase transformation from δ- to α-CsPbIhas garnered extensive research interest. However, detailed understanding of this structural transformation at atomistic scale remains elusive. Here, we reported the full atomistic molecular dynamics simulation of this important phase transformation using an enhanced sampling method, Metadynamics (MetaD). Particularly, two-stage of dynamic transformation related to [PbI] chains' motions was observed, namely, the intrachain rearrangement followed by interchain connection. Moreover, the dynamic motion of Cs cations plays an important role in facilitating the interchain connection kinetically. The insights reported in this work will provide valuable guidance for further advancing the understanding of phase transformation of CsPbI.

Context: DNAN/DNB cocrystals, as a newly developed type of energetic material, possess superior safety and thermal stability, making them a suitable alternative to traditional melt-cast explosives. Nonetheless, an exploration of the thermal degradation dynamics of the said cocrystal composite has heretofore remained uncharted. Consequently, we engaged the ReaxFF/lg force field modality to delve into the thermal dissociation processes of the DNAN/DNB cocrystal assembly across a spectrum of temperatures, encompassing 2500, 2750, 3000, 3250, and 3500 K.

The removal of heavy metal ions, such as lead (Pb2+), from aqueous systems is critical due to their high toxicity and bioaccumulation in living organisms. This study presents a straightforward approach for the synthesis and surface modification of iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) for the magnetic removal of Pb2+ ions. IONPs were produced via electrosynthesis at varying voltages (10-40 V), with optimal magnetic properties achieved at 40 V resulting in highly crystalline and magnetic IONPs in the gamma-maghemite (γ-Fe2O3) phase.

Arterial stiffness is a well-known risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Although estradiol (E2) is known to be cardioprotective, the available data point to a growing cardiovascular disease risk in women before menopause due to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The present study aimed to investigate the effects of E2 on arterial compliance in trauma-exposed premenopausal women, with and without a clinical diagnosis PTSD.

Nickel-rich cobalt-free layered oxide cathode with Ni contents no fewer than 90 % has received extensive attention in the field of lithium-ion batteries due to its excellent specific capacity and low cost, but serious capacity degeneration induced by structural deterioration and interfacial instability greatly hamper their further development. Herein, the Sb-modified LiNiMnO materials from the interface to interior have been designed and fabricated to overcome the above issues. On the one hand, the introduction of Sb-ion in interior of grains can generate Sb-O chemical bond with high dissociation energy, which contributes to reinforce the chemical and structural stability.
