In recent years, reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM) draws attention as a noninvasive method to precisely detect abnormal pigment deposits, providing additional cytological details for the diagnosis, classification, and treatment monitoring of melasma. This article aims to review the RCM findings of melasma and classify melasma with RCM findings.
