A 56-year-old male presented to the clinic for follow-up of severe, longstanding hidradenitis suppurativa. On physical examination, there was a linear Blaschkoid distribution of erythematous scaly papules extending from the left upper arm toward the scapular mid-back region. A clinical diagnosis of linear psoriasis was made, and the patient's dosage interval of infliximab was decreased to every 6 weeks.

Linear psoriasis is a rare clinical presentation of psoriasis characterized by erythematous scaly plaques distributed along Blaschko's lines. We describe an 8-year-old male with a linear Blaschkoid plaque in which biopsy findings and clinical history were consistent with linear psoriasis. The lesion showed only mild improvement with topical steroid therapy but exhibited significant clearance with the biologic agent ixekizumab, an IL-17A inhibitor.

Lichen linear planus is a rare variant of lichen planus that appears as pruritic, polygonal, purple papules in a blaschkoid distribution. This review critically assesses all reported cases of linear lichen planus (LLP) for proposed etiology, clinical and histologic traits, treatment options, and recurrence. A PubMed search from inception through March 2023, followed by article screening and full-text review, identified 51 unique cases of LLP.
