( are model organisms that share similar anatomical structures to humans. By exploring the effects of lithium chloride (LiCl) on we can collect crucial data regarding the compound's impact on patients taking psychiatric medications containing LiCl. Here we performed an egg retention assay on nematode populations to explore how LiCl can influence reproduction. We found a statistically significant difference in eggs retained between control and experimental groups, suggesting that LiCl has negative effects on reproductive health.

Si anode materials are promising candidates for next-generation Li-ion batteries (LIBs) because of their high capacities. However, expansion and low conductivity result in rapid performance degradation. Herein, we present a facile one-pot method for pyrolyzing polystyrene sulfonate (PSS) polymers at low temperatures (≤400 °C) to form a thin carbonaceous layer on the silicon surface.

In the era of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things, data storage has an important impact on the future development direction of data analysis. Resistive random-access memory (RRAM) devices are the research hotspot in the era of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things. Perovskite-type rare-earth metal oxides are common functional materials and considered promising candidates for RRAM devices because their interesting electronic properties depend on the interaction between oxygen ions, transition metals, and rare-earth metals.

Construction of Heterostructured NiS@V-NiFe(III) LDH for Enhanced OER Performance.

Liuzhou Key Laboratory of New Energy Vehicle Power Lithium Battery, Guangxi Engineering Research Center for Characteristic Metallic Powder Materials, School of Electronic Engineering, Guangxi University of Science and Technology, Liuzhou 545000, China.

The oxygen evolution reaction (OER), which involves a four-electron transfer and slow kinetics, requires an efficient catalyst to overcome the high energy barrier for high-performance water electrolysis. In this paper, a novel NiS@V-NiFe(III) LDH/NF catalyst was prepared via a facile two-step hydrothermal method. The constructed heterostructure of NiS@V-NiFe(III) LDH increases the specific surface area and regulates the electronic structure.

Lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries have emerged as a promising candidate for next-generation high-energy rechargeable lithium batteries, but their practical application is impeded by the sluggish redox kinetics and low sulfur loading. Here, we report the in situ growth of δ-MnO nanosheets onto hierarchical porous carbon microspheres (HPCs) to form an HPCs/S@MnO composite for advanced lithium-sulfur batteries. The delicately designed hybrid architecture can effectively confine LiPSs and obtain high sulfur loading up to 10 mg cm, in which the inner carbon microspheres with a large pore volume and large specific surface area can encapsulate high sulfur content, and the outer MnO nanosheets, as a catalytic layer, can improve the conversion reaction of LiPSs and suppress the shuttle effect.

Direct lithium extraction from unconventional resources requires the development of effective adsorbents. Crown ether-containing materials have been reported as promising structures in terms of lithium selectivity, but data on adsorption in real, highly saline brines are scarce. Crown ether-grafted graphene oxides were synthesized using 2-hydroxymethyl-12-crown-4, hydroxy-dibenzo-14-crown-4 and epichlorohydrin as a source of anchoring groups.
