Catheter-related tunnel infection may lead to peritonitis and discontinuation of performing high-quality peritoneal dialysis (PD). Tunnel infection is commonly caused by . Gas-forming bacterial infection is rare in patients with PD and even exceedingly rare when such a infection spreads along the PD catheter tract. The first case of emphysematous PD catheter infection is presented here.

Objective: To investigate the effectiveness of modified single patellar tunnel medial patella femoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction in the treatment of recurrent patellar dislocation.

Methods: Between January 2023 and June 2023, a total of 61 patients with recurrent patellar dislocation who underwent MPFL reconstruction with autologous semitendinosus were enrolled and divided into 2 groups using random number table method. In the patellar anchor group, 31 patients were treated with MPFL reconstruction with double medial patellar anchors, and 30 patients in the patellar tunnel group were treated with MPFL reconstruction with single patellar tunnel.

Background: Various surgical techniques have recently been developed for periodontal tissue regeneration, especially those do not involve any incisions in the interdental papillae at the regeneration site. These techniques have significant advantages for obtaining clinical attachment gain with least amount of gingival recession, however, may also have disadvantages such as limited field of surgical view, difficulty in debridement, and limited access only from the buccal side. This case report addresses a 2-year follow-up with a novel surgical approach to achieve periodontal regeneration that overcomes these limitations: the flexible tunnel technique (FTT).
