Purpose Of Review: This review aims to evaluate recent literature on occupational platinum salt exposure and allergy and asthma in the context of existing evidence.
Recent Findings: A major recent development is that large quantitative platinum salt exposure datasets have become available and are finding applications in epidemiological studies. These exposure data are expected to lead to higher quality epidemiological studies focusing on exposure response relations, modifiers of exposure and sensitization risk. The exposure data might also improve medical referral advice as part of medical surveillance studies and contribute to improved evidence on the effectiveness of exposure referral.
Summary: Hopefully, the availability of exposure databases form a stimulus for more exposure response studies and risk assessments leading to science based primary prevention approaches. The availability of more detailed exposure data can guide job transfer decisions in occupational clinical practice.

This study aimed to investigate the direct association between domestic violence and the indirect association of exposure through pregnancy, delivery, and neonatal risk factors with severe maternal morbidity (SMM). The target population of this case-control study included all women who gave birth in the hospitals of the Torbat Heidarieh University of Medical Science from June 2018 to May 2020. A total of 123 mothers with SMM according to the World Health Organization criteria were selected as cases, and 127 mothers who did not meet the World Health Organization criteria were included in the control group.

Background: In Uganda, adolescent girls', and young women's (AGYW-15-24 years) current HIV prevalence is fourfold compared with their male counterparts due to compounded social, economic, and environmental factors. Using the Protective Motivation Theory (PMT), we explored HIV-acquisition risk sources and perceived protective factors from AGYW and caregivers' perspective.
Materials And Methods: During 2018, we conducted a qualitative study guided by PMT to explore factors influencing HIV acquisition among AGYW.
