Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is a common anxiety disorder characterized by excessive, uncontrollable worry and physical symptoms such as difficulty concentrating and sleep disturbances. Although functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) studies have reported aberrant network-level activity related to cognition and emotion in GAD, its low temporal resolution restricts its ability to capture the rapid neural activity in mental processes. EEG microstate analysis offers millisecond-resolution for tracking the dynamic changes in brain electrical activity, thereby illuminating the neurophysiological mechanisms underlying the cognitive and emotional dysfunctions in GAD.

Introduction: The boom in surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia using Holmium laser enucleation (HoLEP) has reduced length of hospitalization, catheterization duration and the risk of bleeding, with comparable results to the old gold standard. The aim of this study is to evaluate the evolution of medium-term functional results after HoLEP.

Method: Retrospective monocentric observational study in patients who underwent HoLEP surgery from 2014 to 2019.

Currently, there are no placenta-targeted treatments to alter the in utero environment for administration to pregnant women who receive a diagnosis of fetal growth restriction (FGR). Water-soluble polymers have a distinguished record of clinical relevance outside of pregnancy. We have demonstrated the effective delivery of polymer-based nanoparticles containing a non-viral human insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) transgene to correct placental insufficiency in small animal models of FGR.
