Introduction: Despite the high effectiveness of Ponseti casting in treating idiopathic clubfoot, patient-reported outcomes (PROs) are not studied well in the literature, necessitating further investigation into PROs to evaluate the effect on patients' lives. We used the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) to evaluate PROs in children with Ponseti-treated clubfoot and assess the effect of recurrence on these PROs.
Methods: This study retrospectively reviewed medical records from patients ages 5 to 18 years treated for idiopathic clubfoot at a single institution from 2002 to 2023 with available PROMIS data for mobility, pain, and peer relationships.

Background: Despite being treatable, the prevalence of anemia is relatively high, affecting up to 30% of the general population and 35% of patients undergoing surgery. Symptoms are often misinterpreted and patients frequently do not recognize anemia as a disease. As a result, it is often not discussed during medical consultations.

Background: Contactin-5 (CNTN5), a neural adhesion molecule involved in synaptogenesis and synaptic maturation in the auditory pathway, has been associated with the pathophysiology of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), particularly hyperacusis. To investigate the role of rare CNTN5 variants in ASD susceptibility, we performed resequencing and association analysis in a Japanese population.
Methods: We resequenced the CNTN5 coding regions in 302 patients with ASD and prioritized rare putatively damaging variants.

Purpose Of Review: The aim of this review is to summarize clinical, radiological and laboratory findings in autoimmune dementia, to help clinicians in promptly identify this elusive condition.
Recent Findings: The rapid advances in the field of autoimmune neurology have led to the discovery of novel antibodies and associated disorders, which are more frequent than previously hypothesized. The correct and prompt identification of cognitive decline of autoimmune origin is vital to ensure early treatment and better outcomes.

Unlabelled: Atherosclerosis is the main cause of mortality and disability in the adult population. One of the reasons for the high mortality from atherosclerosis is the lack of effective measures to prevent cardiovascular complications that ensure timely detection and correction of risk factors for the development of atherosclerosis, primarily lipid metabolism disorders with high values of proatherogenic lipids. In the restorative correction of dyslipidemia, the most promising is the use of health programs based on therapeutic physical factors, the combined use of natural (mineral waters, kumiss, climate) with physical training, training in health schools, with their implementation in sanatorium-resort conditions.
