Identifying effective biomarkers has long been a persistent need for early diagnosis and targeted therapy of disease. While mass spectrometry-based label-free proteomics with trace cell has been demonstrated, deep proteomics with ultratrace human biofluid remains challenging due to low protein concentration, extremely limited patient sample volume, and substantial protein contact losses during preprocessing. Herein, we proposed and validated lanthanide metal-organic framework flowers (MOF-flowers), as effective materials, to trap and enrich protein in biofluid jointly through cation-π interaction and O-Ln coordination.

Phenotypic age acceleration (PhenoAgeAccel) is a novel clinical aging indicator. This study was carried out to investigate the relationship between PhenoAgeAccel and the incidence of VTE, as well as to integrate PhenoAgeAccel with genetic susceptibility to improve risk stratification of VTE. The study included 394 041 individuals from the UK Biobank.

Significance: Radiofrequency ablation to treat atrial fibrillation (AF) involves isolating the pulmonary vein from the left atria to prevent AF from occurring. However, creating ablation lesions within the pulmonary veins can cause adverse complications.
Aim: We propose automated classification algorithms to classify optical coherence tomography (OCT) volumes of human venoatrial junctions.

Background: Venous thromboembolism (VTE), whether pulmonary embolism (PE) or deep vein thrombosis (DVT), is common in patients with COVID-19. Recommendations on systematic screening in the intensive care unit (ICU) are lacking.
Research Question: Is there any clinical benefit of systematic screening for DVT in critically ill patients with severe COVID-19?
Study Design And Methods: Single-center randomized clinical trial (RCT) of COVID-19 cases admitted to the ICU.

Background: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) comprises deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) typically arises from acute pulmonary embolism. The pathogenesis of them involves multiple risk factors such as genetic predisposition.
