The acylation of 1,3-benzodioxole was studied in a continuous process using a recyclable heterogeneous substoichiometric catalyst. In a short time period (30 min), at 100 °C, the conversion rate was 73%, with a selectivity of 62% of the desired acylated product; the reaction was run continuously for 6 h, showing excellent stability and selectivity. Moreover, the unreacted starting material, 1,3-benzodioxole, can be easily separated by distillation and recycled.

The orphan nuclear receptor NR2E3 has emerged as a potential tumor suppressor, yet its precise mechanisms in tumorigenesis require further investigation. Here, we demonstrate that the full-length protein isoform of NR2E3 instead of its short isoform activates wild-type p53 and is capable of rescuing certain p53 mutations in various cancer cell lines. Importantly, we observe a higher frequency of NR2E3 mutations in three solid tumors compared to the reference population, highlighting its potential significance in tumorigenesis.

Glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) are widely used as antidiabetic and anti-obesity agents. Although conventional GLP-1 RAs such as liraglutide and semaglutide are acylated with fatty acids to delay their degradation by dipeptidylpeptidase-4 (DPP-4), the manufacturing process is challenging. Glycosylation modification of anthocyanins is important as a preceding step to acylation modification. Cyanidin-3-O-(p-coumaroyl)glucoside-5-O-malonylglucoside (Cy3pCG5MaG) is one of the major anthocyanin substances in blue-flowered grape hyacinth, but its 5-position glycosylation is unknown.
