Compared with conventional inorganic materials, organic electrodes are competitive candidates for secondary battery cathodes due to their resourcefulness, environmental friendliness, and cost-effectiveness. Much effort is devoted at the level of chemical structure, while ignoring the impact of molecular aggregation on battery behavior. Herein, this work designs a series of organic molecules with two electrochemically active phenothiazine groups linked by different lengths of alkyl chain to regulate molecular symmetry and crystallinity. The results emphasize the equally important role of molecular aggregation and chemical structure for battery performance. Among them, 2PTZ-CH|Li cell exhibits the most impressive cycle and rate performance. At the high rate of 50 C, it can still deliver a capacity of 63.4 mA h g and 74.5% capacity retention after 10 000 cycles. Besides, the dropout voltage of 2PTZ-CH|Li cell is only 52 mV, which is among the lowest reported for lithium-organic batteries to the best of the author's knowledge.

To establish ubiquitous and energy-efficient wireless sensor networks (WSNs), short-range Internet of Things (IoT) devices require Bluetooth low energy (BLE) technology, which functions at 2.4 GHz. This study presents a novel approach as follows: a fully integrated all-digital phase-locked loop (ADPLL)-based Gaussian frequency shift keying (GFSK) modulator incorporating two-point modulation (TPM).

An ultra-low quiescent current output-capacitor-less low dropout (OCL-LDO) regulator for power-sensitive applications is proposed in this paper. To improve the gain of the OCL-LDO feedback loop, the error amplifier employs a combination of a cross-coupled input stage for boosting the equivalent input transconductance and a negative resistance technique to improve the gain. Meanwhile, in order to address the issue of transient response of the ultra-low quiescent current OCL-LDO, a sub-threshold slew-rate enhancement circuit is proposed in this paper, which consists of a transient signal input stage and a slew-rate current increase branch.

Accurately predicting the state of health (SOH) of lithium-ion batteries is fundamental in estimating their remaining lifespan. Various parameters such as voltage, current, and temperature significantly influence the battery's SOH. However, existing data-driven methods necessitate substantial data from the target domain for training, which hampers the assessment of lithium-ion battery health at the initial stage.

The generation of high-quality DNA profiles from trace amounts of DNA continues to be an issue in forensic casework. Several methods have been proposed over the years to increase recovery rates for low input DNA, including purification of PCR products, an increase in PCR cycle numbers and increasing injection time or voltage during electrophoresis. In this study, the characteristics of DNA profiles generated using QIAGEN MinElute® purification of Promega PowerPlex® 21 amplified products for low DNA input samples, ranging from 80 pg down to 4 pg, were evaluated.

This paper presents a miniaturized implant with a diameter of only 14 mm, which houses a novel System on Chip (SoC) enabling two voltage level stimulation of up to 16 implants using a single Tx coil. Each implant can operate at a distance of 80 mm in the air through the inductive resonant link. The SoC consumes only 27 W static power and enables two channels with stimulation amplitudes of 1.
