Background: The genus Ausserer, 1871 previously included ten species from North America and Asia, six of which have been recorded from China.

New Information: A new species, Yu & Zhang , is described and diagnosed, based on both sexes from Guangxi Province, China. Morphological characters for the early stages of juveniles of the new species are also provided.
