Nowadays, in Benin, latrine construction by households highly depends on their financial contributions. However, empirical evidence shows that many households are unwilling to invest in adequate sanitation services. The study aims to determine the household's willingness to pay for improved sanitation services and the associated factors. The study population will include households lacking unimproved sanitation facilities. The household heads will be eligible for survey participation. We will perform a contingent valuation to determine households' willingness to pay for a Ventilated Improved Pit (VIP) latrine. Following a description of the surveyed population, we will assess willingness to pay using the '' command in Stata. Subsequently, we will conduct multivariate logistic regression to determine the factors associated with willingness to pay. The expected results will be: a description of the basic characteristics of households without improved sanitation services, an estimation of household willingness to pay for VIP latrines using the contingent valuation, and factors associated with household willingness to pay for VIP latrines. This study will contribute to the literature on household demand for improved sanitation services in Benin.

Background: Fruit quality traits, including taste, flavor, texture, and shelf-life, have emerged as important breeding priorities in blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum). Organic acids and sugars play crucial roles in the perception of blueberry taste/flavor, where low and high consumer liking are correlated with high organic acids and high sugars, respectively. Blueberry texture and appearance are also critical for shelf-life quality and consumers' willingness-to-pay.

Background: The demand for frailty care is continuously increasing in hospitalized tumor patients with the aging of the population. Nurses are the primary care providers of hospitalized tumor patients with frailty but research on exploring their behavior and associated factors is limited. This study aims to describe the current situation of frailty care behaviors in oncology nurses and to explore the factors influencing frailty care behaviors.

Background: The value payers and policymakers traditionally place on novel treatments for Alzheimer's and other neurological diseases that cause cognitive impairment (CI) and dementia often ignores disease baseline severity. More patient-centered economic evaluations-such as those estimating "insurance value"-incorporate the fact that individuals are typically risk-averse and place high value on generous coverage of treatments in the event that they develop CI, such as severe dementia, later in life. This study aims to estimate this insurance value, accounting for risk aversion, relative to the value of the same treatment based on traditional payer cost effectiveness approaches.

Background: As disease-modifying treatments for Alzheimer's disease (AD) are becoming available in the US, concerns have been raised that an unprepared healthcare system will be unable to cope with the expected influx of patients. Individuals dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid might be disproportionately affected by wait times for three reasons. They have higher burden of disease; many practices do not accept Medicaid at all and those who do might limit the number of Medicaid patients because of lower payment rates under the so-called lesser-of policy.

Background: This study describes the total healthcare costs integrating direct, indirect, and intangible or emotional cost components across the severity stages of Alzheimer's disease (AD) in US.
Method: Utilizing Health and Retirement Study (HRS) data (1994-2018), a bi-annual US national survey of older adults, we assessed out-of-pocket and indirect costs, including unpaid caregiving services, missed workdays, and early retirement. HRS, analyzed with sampling weights, provided a representative US national sample.
