(De Man, 1911), a translucent freshwater prawn has a wide distribution range throughout mainland Southeast Asia. A high morphological variation and genetic divergence between different geographical populations in Thailand have peculiarly extended the uncertainty of species boundaries and blended confusingly with several species. To clarify these circumstances, broad sample examinations of the morphological variation, including topotype specimens, and phylogenetic reconstruction based on the concatenated mitochondrial dataset (16s rRNA and COI genes) were performed. Broad morphological examination of has shown congruency with phylogenetic analyses by revealing prominent lineages of sensu stricto and two new sibling lineages with interspecific variation between 6.48-8.76% for COI and 3.06-4.23% for 16S. Descriptions of two new species, named herein as Chaowvieng & Siriwut, and Chaowvieng & Siriwut, are provided. Morphological investigation of rostral form suggested plasticity in populations showing the morphological trait associated with their habitat preferences. Furthermore, phylogenetic positions of the three taxa affirmed the hidden diversity of Thai freshwater fauna correlated with the river network in the Mekong and Chao Phraya basins, Thailand. The genetic data and distribution records obtained in this study may also assist future river conservation plans as well as the sustainable management of freshwater prawn diversity.

Previous research suggests that depression impacts HIV outcomes, including viral suppression. This meta-analysis quantifies the association between depression and HIV viral suppression. A systematic literature search was conducted in PubMed, Web of Science, EBSCO, and OVID to identify studies published through 2012 to 2022.

Article Synopsis
  • Peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) is being explored as a treatment for advanced meningioma, utilizing intraarterial delivery of [Lu]Lu-HA-DOTATATE instead of traditional intravenous methods.
  • In a study involving 13 patients, the intraarterial PRRT was found to be well tolerated with minimal side effects, and results showed disease control in 10 out of 13 patients, including one complete and one partial remission.
  • The findings suggest that intraarterial PRRT may be more effective than intravenous delivery, but further research is needed to confirm these results and understand long-term effects.

  • * Conducted over 11 years, the research involved men born between 1933 and 1956 and utilized the IIEF-5 questionnaire and glucose tolerance tests to assess erectile function and dysglycemia.
  • * Results indicated that men with ED had a higher likelihood of having undetected diabetes and prediabetes, suggesting that ED could serve as an early indicator of future glucose metabolism issues.

Article Synopsis
  • Hermann Rorschach was a Swiss psychiatrist known for creating inkblots to assess mental health and personality types, with his foundational ideas stemming from a 1911 dissertation on reflex hallucinations.
  • After Rorschach's death in 1922, his work was popularized in the U.S. by Samuel Beck and Bruno Klopfer, who later adapted the inkblots for intelligence and personality testing.
  • The application of Rorschach's method to analyze the "Nazi personality" at the Nuremberg Trials was controversial due to interpreter bias, while modern critiques question the validity and relevance of the Rorschach tests in clinical settings.

Background: Chylothorax, a rare but serious complication following esophagectomy, can lead to dehydration, malnutrition, and even mortality. Surgical intervention is considered when conservative treatment is ineffective; however, in some refractory cases, the cause of chylothorax remains unclear. We report a case of refractory chylothorax caused by abdominal chyle leakage into the pleural space via an unenclosed esophageal hiatus.
