Background: () may be present in the intestinal mucosa of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which is a chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. The role of in the pathogenesis of IBD remains unclear. In this study, bioinformatics techniques were used to investigate the correlation and co-pathogenic pathways between and IBD.

Fluoroethylnormemantine (FENM, RST-01) shows different pharmacological properties from Memantine. The drug is neuroprotective in pharmacological and transgenic mouse models of Alzheimer's disease (AD), particularly limiting the neuroinflammatory response to amyloid-β (Aβ) accumulation. In order to define early therapeutic intervention aimed at preventing AD and targeting the early activation of proinflammatory pathways, we examined the impact of chronic FENM treatment starting presymptomatically in APP/PSEN1 (APP/PS1) mice.

Depression is a complex psychiatric disorder that has substantial implications for public health. The lateral habenula (LHb), a vital brain structure involved in mood regulation, and the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) within this structure are known to be associated with depressive behaviors. Recent research has identified transcription factor 7-like 2 (TCF7L2) as a crucial transcription factor in the Wnt signaling pathway, influencing diverse neuropsychiatric processes.

Background: Chronic inflammation is a key factor in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) development. The cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway (CAP) reduces inflammation by activating α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (α7nAChRs) on macrophages, suppressing proinflammatory cytokines. Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors (AChEis), primarily used for Alzheimer's disease (AD), may exert anti-inflammatory effects through the CAP.

Objective: We have updated the migraine prevention guideline of the Canadian Headache Society from 2012, as there are new therapies available, and additionally, we have provided guidelines for the prevention of chronic migraine, which was not addressed in the previous iteration.

Methods: We undertook a systematic review to identify new studies since the last guideline. For studies identified, we performed data extraction and subsequent meta-analyses where possible.
