Tgt is the enzyme modifying the guanine (G) in tRNAs with GUN anticodon to queuosine (Q). is required for optimal growth of in the presence of sub-lethal aminoglycoside concentrations. We further explored here the role of the Q34 in the efficiency of codon decoding upon tobramycin exposure.

The high failure rate of surgical repair for tendinopathies has spurred interest in adjunct therapies, including exosomes (EVs). Mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC)-derived EVs (MSCdEVs) have been of particular interest as they improve several metrics of tendon healing in animal models. However, research has shown that EVs derived from tissue-native cells, such as tenocytes, are functionally distinct and may better direct tendon healing.

Adaptation to new climates poses a significant challenge for plant pathogens during range expansion, highlighting the importance of understanding their response to climate to accurately forecast future disease outbreaks. The wheat pathogen is ubiquitous across most wheat production regions distributed across diverse climate zones. We explored the genetic architecture of thermal adaptation using a global collection of 411 strains that were phenotyped across a wide range of temperatures and then included in a genome-wide association study.

Highly fluorinated naphthyl aldehyde and binaphthyl aldehyde ()- were designed and synthesized for fluorous-phase-based sensing. Greatly enhanced sensitivity and chemoselectivity in going from to ()- in the fluorescent detection of cysteine has been discovered. This is attributed to the increased structural rigidity of the axially chiral binaphthyl unit in ()- upon reaction with cysteine to form the corresponding thiazolidine product.

Importance: Previous meta-analyses suggest that fluoride exposure is adversely associated with children's IQ scores. An individual's total fluoride exposure comes primarily from fluoride in drinking water, food, and beverages.
Objective: To perform a systematic review and meta-analysis of epidemiological studies investigating children's IQ scores and prenatal or postnatal fluoride exposure.
