Sporotrichosis is a rare type of fungal infection caused by fungus. Transmissions are commonly by traumatic inoculation of the fungus through the skin and subcutaneous tissue either from environmental exposure or contact with infected animals. Due to its mode of transmission, it is commonly affecting the upper limbs. Definitive diagnosis can be obtained by fungal culture test on secretion fluids, pus, bloods or tissue biopsy. We report a rare presentation of this disease appearing as a solitary chronic ulcer of the lip which was successfully treated with itraconazole.

Erdheim-Chester disease (ECD) is a rare form of non-LCH characterized by excessive accumulation of histiocytes in various tissues, leading to significant morbidity. The estimated prevalence of ECD is low, with fewer than 1000 cases reported globally, yet it presents considerable clinical challenges due to its heterogeneous manifestations, which include bone pain, cardiovascular complications, and neurological symptoms. Traditional treatment approaches, primarily involving corticosteroids and chemotherapy, have limitations, including inconsistent responses and significant side effects.

Glucose phosphate isomerase (GPI) deficiency caused by GPI gene mutations is a rare heterogenous condition that causes hereditary non-spherocytic hemolytic anemia (HNSHA). Patients who suffer from severe anemia may need more effective treatment. Here, clinical data and genetic testing results of two cases of HNSHA with GPI mutations treated with allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) were retrospectively analyzed.
