We propose modifying the outside-in technique by adopting a posterolateral (PL) portal as the working portal to introduce the anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) aiming guide while keeping the anteromedial portal as the viewing portal, the "PL-portal outside-in technique." This modification facilitates the preparation of an anatomical femoral tunnel, even when preserving a "big" ACL remnant or in small joint scenarios, such as pediatric ACLR. There is a minimal learning curve in adopting this technique because a standard 30° arthroscope is used, and the viewing portal is anterior.

Delivering plasmid DNA (pDNA) to solid tumors remains a significant challenge due to the requirement for multiple transport steps and the need to promote delivery efficiency. Herein, we present a virus-mimicking hybrid lipoplex, composed of an arginine-rich cationic lipid, hyaluronic acid derivatives coated gold nanoparticles, and pDNA. This system induces cytoskeletal rearrangements through "outside-in" mechanical and "inside-out" biochemical signaling, overcoming intra- and intercellular barriers to enhance pDNA delivery.

Background: Few studies have investigated how heat impacts play from the perspective of children. The purpose of this study was to explore children's experiences of recess play during high temperatures.
Methods: We used the draw-and-tell method to retrospectively explore the experiences of recess during hot weather among students (N = 38) between the ages of 5-12 attending four elementary schools in one school district in Arizona (United States).

In low-temperature, high-humidity environments, the condensation of water vapor within microstructures can initiate a detrimental cycle of hydrophobic failure, high-adhesion ice formation, and microstructural degradation, thereby limiting the practical application of superhydrophobic coatings in anti-icing and de-icing technologies. Therefore, enhancing the hydrophobic stability and mechanical durability of these coatings under such conditions is imperative. This study presents a novel approach where rigid FeO nanoparticles are encapsulated within porous diatomaceous earth (DME) and combined with high-adhesion acrylic resin (AR), resulting in a superhydrophobic photothermal coating that possesses both active and passive de-icing capabilities, fabricated through a straightforward one-step spraying technique.

Background: Avascular necrosis of femoral head and malunion are frequent post-operative complications of femoral neck fractures. To optimize surgical techniques, this study aims to provide a microstructural understanding of intraosseous microvasculature and the trabecular bone of the femoral head and neck.
Study Design: This anatomical study analyzed twenty-eight femora from fourteen cadaveric beagles.

Background: One of the key steps in arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction (ACLR) is getting the femoral tunnel at the right position to attach the graft. While the correct position has been described as a low and posterior position behind the bifurcate ridge on the medial surface of lateral femoral condyle, to reproducibly achieve it more than one technique is being used by surgeons. There are no randomized studies in literature which have evaluated the efficacy of these in a surgeon's hand.
