Introduction: Deep mycoses acquired by penetrating trauma to the skin can have varied and sometimes atypical morphological presentations resulting in diagnostic dilemmas and delay in treatment onset. Histopathology can be a useful tool in not only diagnosing but also differentiating various deep mycoses.
Aims And Objectives: To observe various morphological presentations and histopathological features of deep fungal infections.

A 44-year-old patient presented with hoarseness of voice and a polypoidal lesion on the left vocal cord. Complete excision was done. To our knowledge, this is the second reported case of molluscum contagiosum of the vocal cords.

Molluscum contagiosum (MC) is a skin infection caused by a poxvirus that is highly contagious and common among children. When MC does occur in children less than one year old, it is suspected to be a result of vertical transmission through maternal MC infection. In this report, we describe a case of MC on the scalp of a 10-month-old child that started shortly after birth via Cesarean delivery.

Molluscum contagiosum (MC) is a skin infection caused by a virus of the poxvirus family. The infection is usually innocuous and inconsequential, occasionally resolving spontaneously. It is rarely associated with such severe physical and psychological morbidity.
