To investigate the characteristics of acute visual dysfunction and fundus lesions in patients with COVID-19 pneumonia. A retrospective case series study was conducted. Data from 48 patients (96 eyes) with COVID-19 infection who presented to our ophthalmology department with acute onset visual disturbance between December 5, 2022, and February 28, 2023 were collected.

Purpose: This study aimed to present a case of a woman diagnosed with congenital nasal optic disc hypoplasia (NOH) in the right eye.

Observations: A woman in her 20s presented with a small optic disc, irregular optic disc margins with a double-ring sign, and wedge-shaped defects temporally extending from Mariotte's blind spot in the right eye. The radial peripapillary capillary (RPC) density around the optic nerve disc was examined using optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA).

Introduction: Spontaneous focal hemorrhage of optic disc in peripapillary hyperreflective ovoid mass-like structures (PHOMS) is rare. This study reports the image features of two cases of spontaneous hemorrhage of an optic disc in PHOMS.

Methods: : A 51-year-old woman complained of visual fatigue for 1 week.

The purpose of this study was to assess whether growth and remodeling (G&R) theory could explain staphyloma formation from a local scleral weakening-as could occur from age-related elastin degradation, myopia progression, or other factors. A finite element model of a healthy eye was reconstructed, including the lamina cribrosa, the peripapillary sclera, and the peripheral sclera. The homogenized constrained mixture model was employed to simulate the adaptation of the sclera to alterations in its biomechanical environment over a duration of 13.
