Condylar agenesis is a rare case involving developmental disturbances related to growth of mandible, facial aesthetics, dentition development, muscle deformation, and occlusal problems. As such, this is a rare condition, and there is no internationally accepted protocol for the same. Underdevelopment or defective formation of condyle may be congenital or acquired. Condylar agenesis is congenital non formation of condyle, while hypoplasia is poor development. We report a case of bilateral condylar agenesis in a 30-year-old female patient.

Objective: To correlate temporomandibular joint (TMJ) morphology and position with cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) images, Joint Vibration Analysis (JVA), and Jaw Tracker (JT) to develop a radiation-free, dynamic method for screening and monitoring the TMJ in orthodontic patients.
Methods: A total of 236 orthodontic patients without symptoms of TMJ disorders who had undergone CBCT were selected for the JVA and JT tests in this cross-sectional study. TMJ position and morphology were measured using a three-dimensional analysis software.

In patients with unilateral mandibular condyle hyperplasia, whether to perform condylectomy and orthognathic surgical procedures at the same time or orthognathic surgery in two stages for remains controversial. Reported here is a case of facial asymmetry with mandibular condyle hyperplasia, for which condylectomy and orthognathic surgery procedures were performed at the same time.
