In the developing mouse ventral spinal cord, HES5, a transcription factor downstream of Notch signalling, is expressed as evenly spaced clusters of high HES5-expressing neural progenitor cells along the dorsoventral axis. While Notch signalling requires direct membrane contact for its activation, we have previously shown mathematically that contact needs to extend beyond neighbouring cells for the HES5 pattern to emerge. However, the presence of cellular structures that could enable such long-distance signalling was unclear.

Maintenance of blood homeostasis is indispensable for regulating various physiological states and overall health, yet hematological toxicology of TCEP has not been extensively investigated. This study aims to review and analyze the impact of light-emitting diode (LED) photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy on orthodontic tooth movement. This non-invasive technique is proposed to reduce time-related side effects, such as white spot lesions, dental caries, and root resorption. Five studies were included in the review, comprising two animal studies (ages 10 and 12 weeks) and three human studies (ages ranging from 15 to 17 years).
