We report a specific lysosome targeted light-responsive CO-releasing molecule (Lyso-CORM). Lyso-CORM is very stable under dark conditions. CO and singlet oxygen (O) generation was effectively triggered under one photon and two photon excitation (800 nm) conditions. The cytotoxicity results demonstrated that Lyso-CORM showed good phototoxicity due to the synergistic effect of CO and O release, and its good biocompatibility, negligible dark toxicity and specific lysosome targeting make Lyso-CORM a potent candidate for phototherapeutic applications.
Monotherapy has poor accuracy and is easily restricted by tumor microenvironment (TME). Remodeling components of the TME to activate multimodal cancer therapy with high precision and efficiency is worth exploring. Carbon black nanoparticles (CBNPs) are ubiquitous in our daily ambient environment, either resulting from tobacco combustion or constituting the core of PM. Despite the potential risk of trafficking CBNPs to the fetus, the underlying toxicity of nano-sized carbon black particles in the placenta remains unambiguous. Pregnant C57BL/6 mice received intratracheal instillation of 30 nm or 120 nm CBNPs.
African American (AA) women are disproportionally affected by obesity and hyperlipidemia, particularly in the setting of adverse social determinants of health (aSDoH) contributing to health disparities. Obesity, hyperlipidemia, and aSDoH appear to impair Natural Killer cells (NKs). As potential common underlying mechanisms are largely unknown, we sought to investigate common signaling pathways involved in NK dysfunction related to obesity and hyperlipidemia in AA women from under-resourced neighborhoods.

However, whether and how Tau influences hepatocellular carcinogenesis remains elusive.
