Malignant melanoma (MM) is notorious for its wide range of morphologic variability. Rarely, MM may lose all melanocytic markers and adopt the morphologic and immunophenotypic characteristics of a different neoplasm in a process known as trans-differentiation (TMM). Distinguishing TMM from primary cutaneous neoplasms may be challenging and is often dependent on the identification of an adjacent conventional melanoma.

Phytophthora nicotianae is a highly destructive soil-borne plant pathogen that leads to significant economic losses in agriculture. Chitooligosaccharides (COS) are popular biostimulant which can promote plant growth and responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. However, the role of COS in resisting the black-shank disease (BSD, caused by P.

A cohort of highly activated CD99 CD72 B cells promoting autoimmune progression in juvenile systemic lupus erythematosus.

CD72 inhibits the development of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) by suppressing TLR7-dependent B cell responses to self-nucleic acids (NAs). The absence of CD72 promotes the progression of lupus disease. Here, we find a highly activated subset of CD99 CD72 B cells (CD72 BCs) expressing elevated levels of TLR7 in juvenile SLE, which contributes to autoimmunity.

In the last two decades, novel and promising cell-based therapies have populated the treatment landscape for haematological tumors. However, commonly exploited T and NK cell-based therapies show limited applicability to solid tumors. This is mainly given by the impaired tumor trafficking capability and limited effector activity of these cells within a highly immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.
