This review considers high-risk electrocardiographic patterns in the acute coronary syndrome (ACS) patient; we review 7 electrocardiogram presentations lacking diagnostic criteria for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) yet likely representing either STEMI equivalent syndromes or ACS presentations with significant short-and long-term risk. The STEMI equivalent presentations include acute posterior wall myocardial infarction, the hyperacute T-wave of early STEMI, de Winter syndrome, first diagonal of the left anterior descending artery occlusion, and left bundle branch block modified Sgarbossa positive findings. High-risk presentation, not felt to be STEMI equivalent entities yet still possessing significant risk of short-and long-term adverse outcome, include lead aVR ST-segment elevation and Wellens syndrome.

Aims: This retrospective cohort study aimed to investigate the efficacy of dual-chamber left Bundle branch pacing (LBBP) as an alternative therapy for heart failure patients with complete left bundle branch block (CLBBB) and indications for defibrillator with cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT-D).
Methods: 34 patients met inclusion criteria were enrolled in the study. These criteria included a left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of lower than 35%, a New York Heart Association functional class of II-IV, CLBBB meeting Strauss's criteria, intraventricular dyssynchrony, and confirmed correction of CLBBB during LBBP.

Objective: First trimester cervical angles for the prediction of spontaneous preterm birth (sPTB) remains unclear. The objective is to explore the potential value of first trimester cervical angles for the prediction of sPTB.
Study Design: This was a secondary analysis of data derived from a prospective cohort study for sPTB screening in singleton pregnancies at 11 + 0-13 + 6 weeks in women attending routine Down's syndrome screening at Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong SAR, between June 2018 and July 2020.

Aflatoxin is a mycotoxin produced by fungi of the genus Aspergillus that is present in various foods. Probiotics are well-established products in aquaculture, and due to their effective contribution to the intestine, they can be used as an aflatoxin adsorbent. This study evaluated the effects of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) on enzymatic activity and intestinal function in Piaractus mesopotamicus (pacu) fingerlings fed diets containing a probiotic-based adsorbent (PBA).

Purpose: To report a case of bilateral choroidal osteoma successfully treated with subscleral sclerectomy for secondary serous retinal detachment (SRD).
Observations: A 52-year-old Japanese woman first diagnosed with Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada disease and treated with steroids for 9 years was referred to our clinic. SRD in both eyes recurred frequently and was uncontrolled with adalimumab subcutaneous injections and oral cyclosporine, in addition to steroids.
