Background/objectives: The COVID-19 pandemic increased people's reliance on masks and hand sanitizers, highlighting the critical role of health literacy (HL) in effectively using these preventive measures. This study aimed to assess how HL influences consumers' comprehension of product labels for masks and hand sanitizers in post-pandemic Korea.
Methods: A cross-sectional online survey was conducted in September 2023 among 500 Korean adults aged 20-69.

Background: During the COVID-19 pandemic, atypical respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) circulation patterns emerged, with the occurrence of RSV activity outside the typical winter season. This study investigates the impact of COVID-19 and associated non-pharmaceutical interventions (NPIs) on RSV seasonality.
Methods: The onset, offset and peak of RSV epidemics from 2018 to 2022 across 12 European countries were determined using the 3% positivity threshold method.

Background: In recent years, HIV self-testing (HIVST) has emerged as a promising approach to enhance accessibility and uptake of HIV testing, particularly among populations at high risk for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Despite its potential benefits, the effectiveness, and challenges of HIVST warrant careful examination to inform public health strategies effectively. This study investigates the effectiveness and challenges of HIV self-testing (HIVST) in populations at high risk for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) are an important tool for the study of complex disease genetics. Decisions regarding the quality control (QC) procedures employed as part of a GWAS can have important implications on the results and their biological interpretation. Many GWAS have been conducted predominantly in cohorts of European ancestry, but many initiatives aim to increase the representation of diverse ancestries in genetic studies.

Introduction: Nitrous oxide (N2O) is commonly used in pediatric procedural sedation. It is an attractive option to facilitate intravenous line placement, as it does not extend sedation recovery from subsequently administered agents. Although debate exists regarding health consequences of occupational exposure now that scavenging of exhaled gases is common, cooperation of pediatric patients to maximize engineering controls is not guaranteed and can contribute to repeated exposure over the course of a clinician's career.
