Neonatal genital prolapse is a rare situation. This report presents a unique case involving a pair of premature female twins who both developed vaginal wall prolapse without any neurological deficits. Multiple factors such as selective intrauterine growth restriction, feeding intolerance, extrauterine growth retardation, and elevated intra-abdominal pressure after birth may have contributed to the development of this phenomenon. Notably, the severity of prolapse was more pronounced in the twin with lower birth weight and smaller for gestational age. After a five-month follow-up period, the twins' prolapsed vaginal wall fully retracted due to a combination of conservative treatment and enhanced nutritional support.

The most common form of congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) is secondary to 21-hydroxylase deficiency (21OHD). This review will summarize the clinical manifestations, recommended treatments, monitoring, clinical challenges and management strategy, and treatment challenges in special situations for infants and children with classic CAH due to 21OHD. Specifically, we review newborn screening and the initial diagnosis, glucocorticoid and mineralocorticoid treatment, and recommended monitoring, including anthropometric and laboratory measures.

Background: Induction of labour (IOL) is a common obstetric intervention in the UK, affecting up to 33% of deliveries. IOL aims to achieve a vaginal delivery prior to spontaneous onset of labour to prevent harm from ongoing pregnancy complications and is known to prevent stillbirths and reduce neonatal intensive care unit admissions. Study Question: Is there an association between dydrogesterone exposure during early pregnancy and the reporting of birth defects?
Summary Answer: This observational analysis based on global safety data showed an increased reporting of birth defects, mainly hypospadias and congenital heart defects (CHD), in pregnancies exposed to dydrogesterone, especially when comparing to progesterone.
What Is Known Already: Intravaginal administration of progesterone is the standard of care to overcome luteal phase progesterone deficiency induced by ovarian stimulation in ART. In recent years, randomized controlled clinical trials demonstrated that oral dydrogesterone was non-inferior for pregnancy rate at 12 weeks of gestation and could be an alternative to micronized vaginal progesterone.
