The aim of this study was to investigate the molecular characteristics and pathogenicity of recently isolated ILTV strains from China, thereby augmenting our understanding of its prevalence. The complete genome sequences of seven ILTV strains obtained from China between 2015 and 2019 were determined by high-throughput sequencing. Phylogenetic analysis showed that six isolates (SD2015, GD2017, SYB2018, HB201812, HB201806, and TJ2019) were classified together with CEO vaccine strains, while only one isolates LN2018 belonged to the wild-type cluster.

Background: Following interventions to eliminate trachoma in the Afar region of Ethiopia, our goal was to reassess the prevalence of trachomatous trichiasis (TT) and trachomatous inflammation-follicular (TF) at the woreda level, and to identify factors associated with the disease.

Methods: Cross-sectional community-based surveys were conducted in 26 trachoma-endemic woredas, employing a standardized approach. Households were selected as the secondary sampling unit.

Purpose: To study the epidemiology and clinical presentation of allergic eye diseases (AEDs) and Vernal Keratoconjunctivitis (VKC) METHODS: A cross-sectional- cum-cohort study was conducted in rural and urban areas in different geographical locations (plains, hilly, high-altitude and coastal) in India. Children (5-15 years) were included, information on exposure to environmental factors gathered, participants screened for AED and VKC on torch light, followed by a comprehensive eye examination. Cases were compared with controls.

Objective: Acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis (AHC), commonly called pink eye, saw an alarming increase in incidence from July to September 2023 in different parts of India. Pink eye occurrences had reportedly increased three to four times more than in prior years, raising concerns among the community and healthcare professionals. This study aimed to identify the aetiological agent associated with AHC in 2023, genetically characterize the agent and describe the clinical presentation.

Infectious keratoconjunctivitis is an infectious disease that negatively affects animal welfare causing systemic or local clinical signs in small ruminants and causes significant economic losses in herds. It is important to determine the etiologic agent causing the infection in the development of the protection and control strategies against the disease. The aim of this study was to determine the presence of infectious keratoconjunctivitis cases in small ruminants raised in Siirt province in Türkiye.
