Objective To explore the significance of interleukin-17C(IL-17C)-mediated follicular helper T cell (Tfh) differentiation in atopic dermatitis (AD) model. Methods BALB/c mice were divided into control group, AD model group, low-dose MOR106 (anti-IL-17C huIgG1)(MDR106-L)treatment group and high-dose MOR106 (MOR106-H) treatment group, 8 mice in each group. Except for the control group, all the other groups were treated with 2, 4- dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB) to establish AD models. The low-dose and high-dose MOR106 groups were treated with 5 mg/kg or 10 mg/kg MOR106 respectively. The differentiation of Tfh cell subsets in peripheral blood of mice was analyzed by flow cytometry, and the expression of Janus kinase 2/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(JAK2/STAT3) signal pathway protein in skin tissue was detected by Western blot analysis. Results Compared with the control group, the dermatitis severity score, mass difference between two ears, spleen mass and spleen index of DNCB group increased significantly, while those of MOR106-L group and MOR106-H group decreased significantly. Compared with the control group, the Tfh subgroup of AD mice showed deregulated differentiation, resulting in a significant increase in the percentage of CD4CXCR5IFN-γTfh1 cells, CD4CXCR5IL-17ATfh17 and CD4CXCR5IL-21Tfh21 cells, and a significant decrease in the percentage of CD4CXCR5IL-10Tfh10 cells and CD4CXCR5FOXP3Tfr cells in peripheral blood. The protein levels of phosphorylated JAK2(p-JAK2) and p-STAT3 were significantly increased. MOR106 effectively reversed these changes of Tfh1, Tfh10, Tfh17, Tfh21 and Tfr cells in peripheral blood of AD mice. Compared with AD group, the levels of p-JAK2 and p-STAT3 protein in low-dose and high-dose MOR106 treatment groups decreased significantly. Conclusion MOR106 can reduce the inflammatory response of AD mice by blocking JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway and inhibiting the differentiation of Tfh cells mediated by IL-17C.

Background: Varicocele (Vx) which is the most treatable cause of male infertility, is also associated with low sperm count, decreased sperm motility and increased sperm abnormal morphology. We aimed in the current study to evaluate the correlation between seminal α-Glycerylphosphorylcholine (αGPC) and semen parameters in infertile patients pre- and post- sub-inguinal micro-varicocelectomy.
Methods: The current comparative prospective study was carried out on 20 male patients who presented to Kasr Al-Ainy Hospitals from March 2022 to March 2023 as well as 20 healthy controls.
The objectives were to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of a single preoperative dose of intravenous tranexamic acid (TXA) in reducing perioperative blood loss and requirement for transfusion in patients undergoing hip hemiarthroplasty for femoral neck fracture. A double-blind randomized controlled trial was conducted in 140 patients with hip fracture. After randomization, 68 patients received a single dose of 1 gr of intravenous TXA at the start of the surgery (TXA group), and 72 received a placebo treatment (placebo group).

To investigate the safety of the tetravalent meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MPCV-ACYW) in combination with the inactivated poliomyelitis (IPV) vaccine and diphtheria-tetanus-acellular pertussis (DTaP) vaccine for infants aged 3-5 months and provide real-world evidence for the immunization strategy of vaccine combination. From June to October 2023, a total of 600 3-month-old infants were selected and divided into three groups: control group, mono-vaccination group and combined vaccination group. They were simultaneously or individually vaccinated with MPCV-ACYW, IPV and DTaP vaccines at 3, 4, and 5 months of age, respectively.

Introduction: Suffering from chronic pain (CP) and coping with parenthood can be challenging for parental mental health. Pain can hinder the ability to deal with demands related to parenthood, which can negatively affect their psychological well-being because of unmet caregiving expectations.
Methods: Considering the limited amount of research regarding the mental health of parents with CP, the study's main aim was to test a predictive model based on previous scientific literature, using structural equation analysis, in which parental competence and parental guilt partially mediate the relationship between parental stress and depression.

Objectives: Previous studies of the association between tibial slope and meniscal tear have led to contradictory results. In this regard, the present study aimed to examine the effect of medial tibial plateau slope on the incidence of isolated medial meniscal tear.
Methods: This study was performed on 75 patients with a posterior horn medial meniscal tear and 150 matched control subjects.
