We report the case of an 18-month-old boy who developed a phototoxic skin reaction to terbinafine on his scalp, ears, and face in the form of disseminated erythematous plaques, which resembled subacute lupus erythematosus (SCLE) in their clinical presentation. Skin changes appeared a short time after the boy was exposed to sunlight during the period of time when he was treated with oral terbinafine due to Microsporum canis fungal scalp infection. Tinea capitis is a common dermatophyte infection primarily affecting prepubertal children (1).

Background: The current standard of care for infantile-onset Pompe disease (IOPD), a severe form of acid α-glucosidase enzyme activity deficiency is: (1) detection by newborn screening, (2) early initiation of intravenous enzyme replacement therapy (ERT) using recombinant human acid alpha-glucosidase (rhGAA), with higher doses of rhGAA increasingly used to improve clinical outcomes, and (3) immune tolerization induction (ITI) using to prevent anti-rhGAA antibody formation, with methotrexate (MTX), rituximab, and IVIG used for patients who are cross-reactive immunologic material negative (CRIM-) and monotherapy with MTX used in patients who are cross-reactive immunologic material positive (CRIM+).
Objectives/methods: A pilot study evaluates a dose-intensive therapy (DIT) using high-dose ERT (40 mg/kg/week) and more frequent exposure to ERT (i.e.

Although ENKTCL-NT has been previously reported, no relevant article has provided an intuitive, progressive series of schematic illustrations of the rapid progression of facial ulcers.
Objective: This article reports a serious case of ENKTCL-NT that involved the entire process from onset to death.

New Onset Refractory Status Epilepticus (NORSE) is a rare and severe condition characterized by refractory seizures in individuals without a prior history of epilepsy. This case report describes a 37-year-old woman diagnosed with anti-glutamic acid decarboxylase 65 (anti-GAD65) antibody-positive encephalitis-related NORSE. Her seizures were refractory to multiple interventions, including anti-seizure medications, anesthetics, immunotherapies, a ketogenic diet, and electroconvulsive therapy.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAcute generalized exanthematous pustulosis is a severe cutaneous adverse reaction characterized by the rapid onset of nonfollicular, sterile pustules on an erythematous base, typically accompanied by fever (≥38 °C), neutrophilia (7.0 × 10⁹/L), and characteristic histopathological features. This case report presents the first documented instance of acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis after hyaluronic acid viscosupplementation.
