Objectives: This study aimed to assess the outcomes of heterotaxy patients undergone the Fontan operation, focusing on morphological features and surgical techniques.

Methods: Eighty-two consecutive heterotaxy patients who underwent the Fontan operation from 1985 to 2021 were compared to 150 patients with tricuspid atresia (TA) and 144 patients with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS). The Kaplan-Meier method and Cox proportional hazard model were used to analyze transplant-free survival and predictor of outcomes.

Objectives: Postpartum depression is a common and serious mental health problem which is associated with maternal distress and negative consequences for the offspring. Research confirms the presence of differences in the prevalence of postpartum depression in different social groups. The aim of this study was to compare the severity of maternal symptoms in Poland and Zimbabwe and to identify risk factors occurring in both groups.

Neurodiverse individuals possess unique skills, including enhanced creativity, analytical thinking, and meticulous attention to detail, which are valuable in health care professions. However, failure to recognize and support these individuals can result in missed opportunities, social isolation, and mental health challenges.
