Hox genes play a pivotal role during development. Their expression is tightly controlled in a spatiotemporal manner, ensuring that specific body structures develop at the correct locations and times during development. Various genomics approaches have been used to capture temporal and dynamic regulation of Hox gene expression at the nucleosome/chromatin level.

Introduction: Previous research has suggested a link between the onset of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and metabolic disorder; however, the findings have been inconsistent. To date, the majority of metabolomics studies have focused on AD, resulting in a relative paucity of research on early-stage conditions such as mild cognitive impairment (MCI) underexplored. In this study, we employed a comprehensive platform for the early screening of individuals with MCI using high-throughput targeted metabolomics.

ConspectusWhile traditional quantum chemical theories have long been central to research, they encounter limitations when applied to complex situations. Two of the most widely used quantum chemical approaches, Density Functional Theory (DFT) and Time-Dependent Density Functional Theory (TDDFT), perform well in cases with relatively weak electron correlation, such as the ground-state minima of closed-shell systems (Franck-Condon region). However, their applicability diminishes in more demanding scenarios.

Intermittent exotropia (IXT) is the most common type of strabismus, with surgical interventions standing as its main therapeutic modality. In recent years, with the rapid development of the strabismus and pediatric ophthalmology subspecialties, surgical correction for IXT has become a routine practice across numerous institutions in China. However, the surgical success rate is not high and tends to decline with longer follow-up periods.

Wide field of view and light weight optics are critical for advanced eyewear, with applications in augmented/virtual reality and night vision. Conventional refractive lenses are often stacked to correct aberrations at a wide field of view, leading to limited performance and increased size and weight. In particular, simultaneously achieving a wide field of view and large aperture for light collection is desirable but challenging to realize in a compact form-factor.
