We reveal the critical effect of ultrashort dephasing on the polarization of high harmonic generation in Dirac fermions. As the elliptically polarized laser pulse falls in or slightly beyond the multiphoton regime, the elliptically polarized high harmonic generation is produced and exhibits a characteristic polarimetry of the polarization ellipse, which is found to depend on the decoherence time . could then be determined to be a few femtoseconds directly from the experimentally observed polarimetry of high harmonics. This shows a sharp contrast with the semimetal regime of higher pump intensity, where the polarimetry is irrelevant to . An access to the dephasing dynamics would extend the prospect of high harmonic generation into the metrology of a femtosecond dynamic process in the coherent quantum control.

Controlling the energies of the single-rotor large wind turbine system using a new controller.

In wind energy generation systems, ensuring high energy quality is critical but is often compromised due to the limited performance and durability of conventional regulators. To address this, this work presents a novel controller for managing the machine-side inverter of a single-rotor large wind turbine system using an induction machine-type generator. The proposed controller is designed using proportional, integral, and derivative error-based mechanisms, which fundamentally differ from traditional proportional-integral (PI) regulators.

The mechanical properties of music wire are contingent upon its microstructure, which in turn influences its applications in music. Chinese stringed instruments necessitate exacting standards for comprehensive performance indexes, particularly with regard to the strength, resilience, and rigidity of the musical steel wires, which differ from the Western approach to musical wire. In this study, SWP-B music wire was selected for investigation through metal heat treatment, which was employed to regulate its microstructure characteristics.

A new method for the precise semiempirical determination of the basic parameters (structural parameters and parameters of the intramolecular potential energy surface, PES) of a molecule on the basis of highly accurate experimental data from the microwave and submillimeter-wave regions is suggested. The options and advantages of this method in comparison with the other methods of molecular PES determination are discussed using a diatomic molecule as an appropriate illustration. The HCl molecule is exploited as a suitable example.

Hybrid superconductor-semiconductor Josephson field-effect transistors (JoFETs) function as Josephson junctions with gate-tunable critical current. Additionally, they can feature a non-sinusoidal current-phase relation (CPR) containing multiple harmonics of the superconducting phase difference, a so-far underutilized property. Here we exploit this multi-harmonicity to create a Josephson circuit element with an almost perfectly π-periodic CPR, indicative of a largely dominant charge-4e supercurrent transport.

LOCAL CHARACTERIZATION OF COLLAGEN ARCHITECTURE AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF TISSUE ENGINEERED ATHEROSCLEROTIC PLAQUE CAP ANALOGS.

Department of Cardiology, Biomedical Engineering, Cardiovascular Institute, Thorax Center, Erasmus MC, Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Many cardiovascular events are triggered by fibrous cap rupture of an atherosclerotic plaque in arteries. However, cap rupture, including the impact of the cap's structural components, is poorly understood. To obtain better mechanistic insights in a biologically and mechanically controlled environment, we previously developed a tissue-engineered fibrous cap model.
