A functional separator is developed by in-situ grafting nickel tetraaminophthalocyanine (NiTAPc) onto the surface of polypropylene (PP). It is applied to inhibit the shuttle effect of polysulfides (PSs) in lithium-sulfur(Li-S) batteries. The characterization results showed that NiTAPc is highly dispersed and uniformly grafted onto PP separator.

Conjugated polymers have revolutionized the field of conductometric gas sensors for sensing toxic gases arising from the fast urbanization and industrialization. In this work, we report the synthesis of a series of 5,15-diaryl Ni(II) porphyrin-conjugated polymers () and their integration as the top layer on an octafluorinated copper phthalocyanine () sublayer to construct bilayer heterojunction (BLH) devices for ammonia sensing. For the first time, we report the pioneering demonstration of polarity engineering within a BLH device by manipulating the -substituent of the 5,15-diaryl Ni(II) porphyrin-conjugated polymer constituting the top layer of the BLH device.

Benefiting from the synergism between adjacent bimetallic atoms, in comparison with single atom catalysts, the dual atom catalysts have displayed great potential in electrocatalytic CO reduction reaction (CORR). However, the further modulation of the electronic structure of dual atom sites to enhance CORR performance still remains a challenge. Herein, an atomically dispersed oxygen-bridged NiNO/NC catalyst with unique Ni-O-Ni sites is successfully synthesized through the microwave pyrolysis of the supported mixture containing the dinuclear nickel phthalocyanine and glucose on N-doped carbon nanosheets.
