In this commentary, we set out the specifics of how Glowacki's game theoretical framework for the evolution of peace could be incorporated within broader cultural evolutionary approaches. We outline a formal proposal for prisoner's dilemma games investigating raid-based conflict. We also centre an ethnographic lens to understand the norms surrounding war and peace in intergroup interactions in small-scale communities.

Public health emergencies are critical to people's lives and health, economic development and social stability. Understanding how to respond correctly to public health emergencies is the focus of societal attention. This paper focuses on the tripartite entities of public health emergencies: local governments, pharmaceutical enterprises and the public.

Despite being a powerful tool to model ecological interactions, traditional evolutionary game theory can still be largely improved in the context of population dynamics. One of the current challenges is to devise a cohesive theoretical framework for ecological games with density-dependent (or concentration-dependent) evolution, especially one defined by individual-level events. In this work, I use the notation of reaction networks as a foundation to propose a framework and show that classic two-strategy games are a particular case of the theory.

Objectives: To evaluate sport-specific basketball skills before and after 8 months of integrated and non-integrated basketball practice of participants with intellectual disability; in relation to the competitive basketball level and the degree of intellectual disability.
Design: Pre-test/training/post-test design.
Methods: Forty-one adult male players with intellectual disability were randomly divided into 21 athletes playing in the Integrated Basketball group together with 10 athletes without intellectual disability, and 20 athletes playing in the Non-integrated Basketball group.

Real-world processes often exhibit temporal separation between actions and reactions - a characteristic frequently ignored in many modelling frameworks. Adding temporal aspects, like time delays, introduces a higher complexity of problems and leads to models that are challenging to analyse and computationally expensive to solve. In this work, we propose an intermediate solution to resolve the issue in the framework of evolutionary game theory.

Software-defined networking (SDN) offers an effective solution for flexible management of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) by separating control logic from sensor nodes. This paper tackles the challenge of timely recovery from SDN controller failures and proposes a game theoretic model for multi-domain controllers. A game-enhanced autonomous fault recovery algorithm for SDN controllers is proposed, which boasts fast fault recovery and low migration costs.
