Phosphorus fluoride exchange (PFEx) is a catalytic click reaction that involves exchanging high oxidation state P-F bonds with alcohol and amine nucleophiles, reliably yielding P-O- and P-N-linked compounds. Here, we describe steps for preparing a phosphoramidic difluoride and performing two sequential PFEx reactions to yield a phosphoramidate through careful catalyst selection. We then detail procedures for handling and quenching potentially toxic P-F-containing compounds to ensure user safety when conducting PFEx reactions. For complete details on the use and execution of this protocol, please refer to Sun et al..

Targeted degradation of membrane proteins represents an attractive strategy for eliminating pathogenesis-related proteins. Aptamer-based chimeras hold great promise as membrane protein degraders, however, their degradation efficacy is often hindered by the limited structural stability and the risk of off-target effects due to the non-covalent interaction with target proteins. We here report the first design of a covalent aptamer-based autophagosome-tethering chimera (CApTEC) for the enhanced autophagic degradation of cell-surface proteins, including transferrin receptor 1 (TfR1) and nucleolin (NCL).

The first carbocyclic gallylene [(ADC)Ga(GaI)] and bis-gallylene [(ADC)Ga] (ADC = PhC{N(Dipp)C}; Dipp = 2,6-iPrCH) featuring a central CGa ring annulated between two 1,3-imidazole rings are prepared by KC reductions of [(ADC)GaI]. Treatment of [(ADC)Ga] with Fe(CO) affords complex [(ADC)GaFe(CO)] in which each Ga(i) atom serves as a two-electron donor. [(ADC)Ga] activates white phosphorus (P) and the C -F bond of aryl fluorides (ArF) to yield compounds [(ADC)Ga(P)] and -/-[(ADC)GaF(Ar)], respectively.

Polysilicate-ferric-calcium-lanthanum (PSFCL) was synthesized through a co-polymerization method in order to treat the yellow phosphorus wastewater. Its morphology, composition and functional group were analyzed by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform-Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopic (SEM) and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), respectively. The optimization of the flocculant was also investigated, including La/Si molar ratio, pH, agitation time, dosage and sedimentation time.

The hydrodynamics, water temperature, and water quality model for the Dan River and Renzhuang Reservoir continuum were developed using field monitoring data and the Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code (EFDC). An in-situ water discharge experiment enabled the calculation of water propagation time using a simulated flood progression method and the hydrodynamics module of EFDC. Based on these model results, degradation coefficients for chemical oxygen demand, biochemical oxygen demand, nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), fluoride, arsenic were determined, revealing significantly higher values when the wetland barrage was opening.
