Case: We present 2 cases demonstrating the management of coronal malalignment with an existing total knee arthroplasty using opening wedge distal femur osteotomy. The mechanical axis was corrected, and the primary total knee implants were maintained. Patients resumed full activity 3 to 4 months after surgery.
Conclusion: In certain cases, opening wedge distal femoral osteotomy is an option to correct coronal malalignment with an existing total knee arthroplasty without revising the implant.

Objectives: To determine the influence of obesity on revision rates and mortality after primary elective hip and knee arthroplasty in Germany.
Materials And Methods: In the German Arthroplasty Registry (EPRD) there were 403,073 elective total hip arthroplasties (THA), 320,913 bicondylar total knee arthroplasties (TKA) and 48,480 unicondylar knee arthroplasties (UKA) with valid BMI available for analysis. Cumulative revision rates and 1‑year mortality was calculated for BMI groups.
Purpose: Hinge fractures show a relatively high incidence in varus and valgus distal femoral osteotomy (DFO) and can lead to delayed- or non-union. Another observed complication of a hinge fracture is an unintentional change of the postoperative femoral torsion of up to + 9.5° in conventionally performed DFO.
