In order to study the movement characteristics of coal particles in the coal loading process of spiral drums, the spiral drum of a certain type of shearer was taken as the research object, and the intrinsic parameters of the materials were calibrated through the determination results of coal sample properties, the relevant parameters of coal particle adhesion were determined, and a discrete element model of spiral drum coal loading was established. The distribution of coal particle movement subsequent to the fracture of the coal wall was derived through simulation. By spatially dividing the envelope region of the spiral drum along the radial and axial directions, the number and velocity distribution of coal particles in different envelope regions were obtained.

Cork oak forests have been declining due to fungal pathogens such as . However, the preventive fungicides against this fungus have restricted use due to the deleterious effects on human health and the environment, prompting the need for sustainable alternatives. Here, we describe the antifungal activity of an aqueous extract of L.

Aim: The aim of this study was to compare the marginal accuracy of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and zirconia copings fabricated using computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology, and to assess the impact of their material properties on accuracy when produced with a 4-axis milling system under controlled conditions.
Settings And Design: The study employed an in vitro design with a stainless steel die model featuring a 6 mm axial wall height, a 6-degree total occlusal convergence, and a radial shoulder finish line.
Materials And Methods: Thirty stone dies were created from silicone impressions of the metal die and poured using type-IV dental stone.

Hydrophobins are small amphiphilic proteins that confer filamentous fungal hydrophobicity needed for hyphal growth, development, dispersal and adhesion to host and substrata. In insect-pathogenic Beauveria bassiana, nine hydrophobins (class I Hyd1A-F and class II Hyd2A-C) were proven to localize on the cell walls of aerial hyphae and conidia but accumulate in the vacuoles and vesicles of submerged hyphae and blastospores, respectively. Conidial hydrophobicity, adhesion to insect cuticle, virulence via normal cuticle infection and dispersal potential were significantly more reduced by the hyd1A deletion leading to complete ablation of slender rodlets on conidial coat than the hyd1B deletion, which caused a failure to assemble morphologically irregular rodlets into orderly bundles.
