In this article, we present three cases diagnosed with active choroidal neovascularization (CNV): two cases diagnosed with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD), and one case with myopic CNV in an elderly eye that presented a characteristic and unique optical coherence tomography (OCT) sign consisting of well-defined, circular-shaped multiple concentric layers of alternating iso-hyperreflective material located between the external limiting membrane and outer photoreceptor layers, which seems to be a multilayered bacillary layer detachment (BALAD). Multilayered exudative BALAD in active CNV may be a new and characteristic OCT sign. .

In flowering plants, pollen grain must undergo a series of critical processes, including adhesion, hydration, and germination, which are dependent on the stigma, to develop a pollen tube. This pollen tube then penetrates the stigma to reach the internal tissues of pistil, facilitating the transport of non-motile sperm cells to the embryo sac for fertilization. However, the dry stigma, characterized by the absence of an exudate that typically envelops the wet stigma, functions as a multi-layered filter in adhesion, hydration, germination and penetration that permits the acceptance of compatible pollen or tubes while rejecting incompatible ones, thereby protecting the embryo sac from ineffective fertilization and maintaining species specificity.

Aims: To report clinical outcomes of pars plana vitrectomy combined with internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling in the treatment of "multilayered" hemorrhages caused by hemorrhagic retinal arterial microaneurysm (RAM) in three cases.
Methods: Three patients with hemorrhagic RAM were reviewed. All patients underwent vitrectomy combined with ILM peeling.

Background: Acute and chronic wounds in the acute hospital setting are commonly managed with soft silicone multilayer foam dressings (SSMFDs). While many SSMFDs are indicated for wear time of up to 7 days, they are often changed more frequently.
Objective: To use real-world data on dressing change practices and clinical outcomes to examine whether a built-in indicator on a proprietary SSMFD could reduce unnecessary dressing changes.

Pressure ulcer dressings with different functions can enhance wound healing ability to varying degrees; however, pressure ulcer dressings that integrate various functions and break the resistance of bacteria to traditional antibiotics have not been widely studied. We proposed a self-pumping/super-absorbent/transportable drug dressing (PLD-SLD), polycaprolactone (PCL)/sodium alginate (SA) was used to load platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) and lidocaine hydrochloride (LID) by Janus electrospinning and self-assembly technology, and Ɛ-polylysine was used as a biological bacteriostatic agent to prepare a multi-layer dressing. SEM showed that the dressing had a fluffy structure.
