Introduction: Pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) is a rare bone marrow failure characterized by normocytic anemia and severe reticulocytopenia.
Case Presentation: We describe the case of a 38-year-old female who presented with severe anemia. Further investigation revealed the etiology of anemia to be PRCA. She was subsequently diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) B-cell type on bone marrow biopsy. The patient refused blood transfusion support. She failed to improve and expired despite treatment with rituximab and steroids.
Conclusion: Our case is an unusual presentation of PRCA that led to the diagnosis of CLL. PRCA is an extremely rare cause of anemia in CLL, occurring in around 1% of patients. The pathogenesis is thought to be immune mediated. Treatment of PRCA in CLL involves immunosuppressive therapy with steroids, cyclosporine, and rituximab, yet it is usually refractory in most cases.

Fibrous dysplasia is a slow-progressing benign condition characterized by abnormal bone formation that leads to some skeletal disorders. Although some of the fibrous dysplasia have unusual clinical and radiographic features that can lead to a challenging diagnosis, most lesions reveal an expansile bone defect due to cortex thinning. This report presented a case of monostotic fibrous dysplasia of a 43-year-old woman with involvement of the right maxillary jaw and sinuses, which indicated unusual histopathological features.

The small intestine is the longest segment of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, but cancers in the small intestine are infrequent. The duodenojejunal (DJ) flexure is an uncommon site for tumors, and those located in these sites are difficult to identify and manage properly. Their rarity, along with ambiguous symptoms that can be readily misattributed to milder conditions, results in a delayed diagnosis when the tumors have significantly advanced.

Adrenocortical carcinomas are rare but aggressive tumors that are frequently discovered as incidentalomas. Secretory tumors often lead to endocrine abnormalities, namely cushingoid features, virilization, or feminization. Non-functioning tumors, on the other hand, can be completely dormant with an insidious course or cause malaise, weight loss, abdominal pain, etc.

We present a case of an 80-year-old female who presented with chest pain, vomiting and night sweats a few weeks post thoracic endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (TEVAR). A computed tomography (CT) scan demonstrated a type 1B endoleak for which she underwent a repeat TEVAR. Postoperatively, she developed fever, dysphagia, haematemesis and melaena.
