A reduced graphene oxide encapsulating FeNiCoMnCu@rGO catalyst is prepared using a Joule heating strategy. The graphene-coated layer with high crystallinity enhances the stability of the crystal structure, resulting in superior OER activity. Rechargeable zinc-air batteries with FeNiCoMnCu@rGO demonstrate remarkable performance, boasting a high specific capacity of 800 mA h g, an impressive peak power density of 154.612 mW cm, and a cycle life of 300 hours at a current density of 10 mA cm.

This study, we synthesized a graphene oxide@BiBTC MOF (GO@BiBTC) photocatalyst using a hydrothermal method. The resulting samples were comprehensively characterized using FT-IR, Raman spectra, XRD, SEM, TEM, XPS and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The photodegradation reaction fits the pseudo-first-order kinetics and the deterioration rate constants () value of BiBTC, GO@BiBTC MOF composites were 0.

Infrared (IR) photodetectors play an important role in many fields such as industry, medicine, security, Achieving high response and maintaining stability in the device performance while reducing materials cost are required for the practical use of optical sensors. This study presents the development of a low-cost but high-performance IR photodetector based on a hybridization of up-conversion microparticles of NaYF:Tm,Yb (UCMPs) and reduced graphene oxide material (RGO). In this combination, UCMPs play the role of absorbing photons from 980 nm excitation light, generating electron-hole pairs, which are useful for sensing applications.

Monitoring volatile organic compounds (VOCs) is crucial for ensuring safety and health. In this study, we introduce a strategy to engineer a chromatography-inspired single-sensor (CISS) e-nose tailored for VOC monitoring. This approach overcomes the limitations of traditional methodologies and conventional e-noses.

The development of Pd-based materials with high activity and long-term stability is crucial for their practical applications as an anode catalyst in direct formic acid fuel cells. Herein, we reveal that the catalytic activity of Pd towards formic acid oxidation can be enhanced by incorporation of a series of rare-earth oxides, including ScO, CeO, LaO, and PrO. For example, Pd nanoparticles incorporated with ScO supported on nitrogen-doped reduced graphene oxide (Pd-ScO/N-rGO-, = 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 1, and 3/2; "" denotes the molar ratio of Pd : Sc) can be obtained using a sodium borohydride reduction method.
